The Indy Skatepark is the oldest and biggest park in Indiana. The Indy Skatepark Advocates and Hunger Skateparks have been adding new features to the park for the last 2 years, but this year the advocates decided to invest in a design that will allow for city approval to build big sections of the park as funding becomes available. The new design adds 24,000 square feet to the park and includes a large street zone, flow/mixed area, flow bowl, and kidney bowl. The advocates are also working to develop smaller parks throughout Indianapolis. Look for opportunities this winter to give design input into a new 8,500 sq. ft. downtown park.
