Design/Build 2023

Location: Sunset Park West, Veterans Memorial Parkway and Waterworks Road, Near Evansville Art Museum

27,000 Square Feet. Hunger’s biggest park in Indiana.

Located in Sunset Park on the Ohio Riverfront, the park can be viewed and accessed from the levy walking path that connects to downtown Evansville. Suns and sunsets became the decorative theme of the park, including artistic references/inspirations from the nearby Angel Mounds site.

The design was inspired by the many wants and desires from the range of community voices, including the skate, roller derby, and BMX riders. It features a hybrid roller rink/skatepark zone, flow bowl, pool bowl, long adaptive ledges, street park style areas and a separated multi-jump line especially designed for bikes- the Evansville Skatepark is a true ALL WHEELS PARK!

Thanks to the community for the continued advocacy and the city for choosing to support this massive riverfront project.

You are inspiring Evansville!
