Design: Native Skateparks
Build: 2018
The 15,000 sq. ft. skatepark design utilizes the entire site by creating separate spaces that make the park feel ever larger. The design was made by longtime collaborator Ryan Crane at Native Skateparks and the Hunger crew made onsite changes with Ryan to really bring the design home. It features 2 large street sections, a flow bowl with a custom made ‘story board’ tile band with mosaics, and a pump track section. The crew quickly renamed the section ‘punk track’ to reflect its more intense, hard core design compared to its mild mannered pump track relatives. Other remarkable design features include steel fabricated hubba ledges, a mission style doorway entrance, and the surrounding landscape that encourages public viewing on elevated mounds located around the park.
