Summer 2014
The Winamac Skatepark was the Eagle Scout project of Clark Gudas and his supportive family. By using a variety of methods, including door to door campaigning and receiving a prestigious Tony Hawk Foundation award, he was able to accomplish the building of the first phase. On Opening Day, skate shops from all over Indiana donated used and new boards, wheels, and accessories to spruce up the Winamac community with new rides.
This 3,000 sq. ft. skate spot is a flow park with street style elements throughout. Although it is a small park, it contains numerous creative features and elevation changes that allow for many different lines and creative skating. The design includes a 2 level pocket throne, pyramid, bump to rail, quarters with extensions, and a variety of copings included hand molded, pool, and various sized steel edging.
Skatepark located at 15th and North Market.
